About Liz
I have 15 years' experience teaching English and specialise in teaching exams such as the IELTS. I've had students successfully move from Band 6.5 to Band 7 after studying with my Preparation for IELTS course. The highest mark one of my students has achieved is Band 8.5, but results are based on an individuals level and knowledge of the exam.
I've taught in Indonesia, Egypt, Iraq, Qatar, Italy, the Czech Republic, and the UK.

The teaching methodology used depends on the skills being taught or practised. Writing skills benefit from a deductive approach (where rules are given first), whereas Reading skills benefit from an inductive approach (where meanings can be detected or noticed from context to work out a rule).
Speaking skills need input (vocabulary and grammar), error correction and pronunciation work. Students also need lots of practice and lessons should be productive.
Students are expected to do set homework so their time spent with me is the most beneficial and value for money. Courses are short (4 - 8 weeks depending on the student) and aim to get the best results possible. General English courses are available on demand.
