Hi, I'm Rika, and I am a qualified teacher who has worked in the education field for the past 20 years. I have taught all age groups from babies to adults. I am also a qualified trainer in Australia and an executive coach.

About the lesson

Learning a second language can be fun but also daunting at the same time.
- I use a gentle introduction approach by helping you learn and understand the sounds of each alphabet letter first.
- We'll then move on to blending letters and sounds, making up various words used in Afrikaans.
- When you are proficient in this, we'll move in to understanding Afrikaans grammar and variations of certain words in past, present and future tense.
- Finally, we will string words together to form full sentences and have you speaking Afrikaans fluently.
A typical lesson will be 45 minutes long.
I am a qualified teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching from babies to adults. I am also a qualified trainer in Australia.
