About Hamid
I have a Ph.D. in electrical engineering and communications systems, and I've spent over a year teaching multivariable calculus to first-year Engineering and Applied Science students at the applied mathematics center at UVA. As a lecturer, I've developed practical methods for helping my students become independent thinkers and effective problem-solvers.
When I work with students, I prioritize building strong foundations in math, programming, and physics through a structured training process that encourages creative thinking and hands-on learning. I love to engage my students with real-world problems that allow them to use their knowledge in practical ways.
In addition to my teaching experience, I've also done research at UVA on mathematical models in communication systems. While I find research exciting, my passion is really for teaching and helping students succeed.
