About Andrea
I started my working career working as a journalist on local newspapers and magazines. To qualify, I had to pass 100wpm shorthand. For the past few years I have worked as an office administrator. Shorthand has helped me in all areas of life and I would love to share this skill with you.

We will work our way methodically through the Teeline alphabet so you gain an understanding of the shorthand language. We will then move on to word groupings and building up speed, practising taking down short read speeches (such as the news) in shorthand to build fluency. This will include translating shorthand back into long hand - quite important to be able to read it back! We will build on this until you are able to take notes for your own personal use or take minutes or messages for work. The time this takes depends on each individual. I am happy to tailor to you. It could be one hour per week for approx 8 weeks or two half hour sessions per week. I will also advise practising for a short time each day to build up speed. I am also happy to offer basic typing/word processing skills for beginners if required.
