About Jessica
I am an Actuary, which is an insurance professional that uses calculus-based statistics and other complex mathematics to calculate the reserves that need to be held for regulatory purposes. I use complex math every single day. I graduated at the top of my class from Georgia State University and then had to take a series of exams to be an accredited Actuary. I have been both a student and a tutor for years. I train new Actuaries and tutor those in college. I have always excelled at math and all of my students have ended up passing their courses or exams. I have yet to meet someone I can't help. I love math, all levels and that helps me to teach others.

I have a thorough knowledge of all levels of math, from basic arithmetic, algebra, and trigonometry to college level statistics and calculus. I work in an industry where I do complex math every day. I have worked as a tutor before, and I know how to break down complex problems to the basics and I try to make it relatable to the individual. I found this helps students to grasp and retain the subjects better. I remember what it was like to struggle with a concept and remember how the right teacher and techniques made all the difference. I will work with you every step of the way until you have a firm understanding of each concept and will help you build the tricks and techniques to conquer each problem!
