About Dominic
I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Actuarial Science at Temple University in Philadelphia. I chose Actuarial Science because I love how Actuaries can use their knowledge of math to make seemingly random collections of information intelligible and useful.
I received my Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from Thomas Aquinas College in Santa Paula, California, majoring in Philosophy and Theology with minors in math and science. My education at a liberal arts school has improved my ability to understand concepts clearly and communicate them to others. I have been tutoring fellow students, friends, and family for years and have helped many of them through finals and exams.
I believe students sometimes dislike Mathematics because it is presented too much as merely a series of formulas and equations to memorize and manipulate. I began to love Math when I realized how much it could teach us about the natural world and how useful it can be for so many industries.
I hope I can reach many students and help them discover for themselves the beauty of Mathematics.
