About Sarah
A couple of years ago, I made a big career change and left my job in the Civil Service and decided to train as an actor. From this experience, I am particularly aware of the needs of the people I work with who are attempting, or currently going through, similar transitory periods in their lives. This is part of the reason why I’m so passionate about supporting others working to create the life they want as I can say, from the other side, that I’m much happier now!
Prior to this, I worked at a diversity recruitment firm, working with over 100 students supporting them with university applications and career choices. I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2016 with a BA in Politics and International Relations.
Aside from acting and tutoring, I am an avid reader, writer and podcast listener. I love going for walks and listening to music.

Do you feel like you're not reaching your full potential? Do you have goals and ambitions but you’re struggling to attain them?
I work with people of all ages who are trying to improve themselves. Drawing on my experience as a Cambridge student, making a big career switch and being a long-term tutor and mentor, I specialise in helping people:
Make strong applications to universities. I take students through the application process from helping them to choose the right universities for them, writing a good personal statement, and, if necessary, with interview preparation.
Communicate better through writing. I help with university essays, school examples, CV and cover letters, public speaking e.g. presentations and speeches
Achieve their life and career goals. I have worked as a mentor since 2012. With over 7 years of experience, I have helped people make informed choices about their careers, as well as other areas such as relationship advice and self-confidence
My method generally stems from the GROW model: establishing a GOAL, understanding the current REALITY, considering OPTIONS and setting a WAY forward. However, I adopt a loose approach to this framework as I believe it is important to account for individual differences and tailor an approach that accommodates this. My approach also aims to empower students to develop confidence in their ideas and decisions.
Using my experience as an actor and workshop facilitator, I create fun and creative sessions, designed to get the best out of you.
