About Rowan
I’m a guitarist, songwriter, and music producer trained at Leeds Conservatoire, with over three years’ experience teaching guitar to adult learners and singer-songwriters. I specialise in helping people build real confidence on the instrument — whether they’re starting from scratch, returning after a break, or wanting to support their singing and songwriting.
Alongside teaching, I run my own singer-songwriter project Majick Moth, perform regularly at weddings and pubs, and work in music production and mixing. This means my lessons are grounded in real-world musicianship — focusing on songs, rhythm, and technique that actually translate to performance, not just exercises.
I understand how frustrating it can feel to practise without seeing progress or to feel stuck playing the same few chords. My teaching approach is clear, practical, and supportive, with structured lessons and simple practice routines designed to fit around busy lives.
Lessons are relaxed and completely personalised. Whether your goal is to play for enjoyment, sing and play at the same time, write songs, or record simple demos at home, I’ll help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

I help adult beginners and singer-songwriters build solid technique, learn real songs, and (if they want) record simple demos at home — without confusing theory or wasted practice time.
Whether you’re starting from scratch or feel “stuck”, my lessons are structured, relaxed, and completely personalised.
