About Kenna
I've been playing guitar for 10 years now, and have had many varieties of experience in the music community. I have a basic understanding of most music based fields, and am more than capable of beginning the process of teaching you how to meet your goals. I've successfully helped and guided many vocally.
Some fun facts about me -
My real job is actually being a diesel mechanic! When I'm not at work or teaching students, you can usually find me out in the garden or spending time with my two dogs!

Hi all! Music has been such an influential part of my life from a young age. My dad has been a musician for my entire life, and plays a variety of instruments. He's taught me nearly everything I know! Teaching has always been a large passion of mine, and I'm currently pursuing a career in education! I grew up surrounded by younger cousins and family members, and adore watching them grow and learn about their own individual passions for music and expression. Interesting fact about me - I actually had to learn to play the guitar 2 times over, due to a hand injury! I currently play left handed, and have begun relearning a 3rd time to regain the ability to play right handed as well! I understand that we all start in different places, and not all areas of music are going to be what we want to learn. I'm happy to tailor your learning and experience to you, and create a game plan that will leave you with all the stepping stones you need to help launch you into your career as a budding Rockstar (or at least the "guitar" playing friend)!
First day meeting me? I'm just so excited! Once we've settled in and done our introductions, I like to do a brief review, just to get me up to speed on what you know, what you're good at, and what's on to do list to get you sounding and feeling your absolute best. We'll get out our instruments and have a good conversation about what drives you, what got you inspired to learn, and how we can best motivate you! After that, each lesson plan focuses less on books and structure, and more on each individuals needs. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you, don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. :)
