Within 5 months of working with him I was able to get by in Paris and after 8 months, I was able to pass my university French placement exam and was able to bypass the equivalent of 2 years of university French went on to take a French course for prospective French minors. I’m currently at a B2 level and planning to pass the C1 DALF. Julien is an excellent tutor. I have learned a lot of new and useful vocabulary (both formal and conversational). He gives specific instructions for proper pronunciation and ensures that you really do understand certain concepts. I feel my oral French has greatly improved and most importantly the lessons are always fun!

I was a high school teacher for many years so I recognise a good teacher when I see one, and Julien, the French instructor in the pair, is excellent. He is patient; his explanation of grammatical principles is first-rate without becoming too technical; he is able to illustrate the usages we happen to be studying with clear examples, and when I make a mistake he will patiently lead me to the correct answer without telling me what it is. And he has a lovely sense of humour. I cannot recommend him too highly.
