I believe that teaching is a process and your student needs to be the leader of the process for them to reach success. My favorite way to teach concepts, especially accounting concepts that are not common knowledge, is by finding a way to relate the information to something the student is already interested in or familiar with. By finding a connection between the new information and information that the student has already learned, it helps the student to retain the new information at a more successful rate.
