About Luo
With 6 years of experience teaching piano, I have taught students of all ages and skill levels, from young beginners to advanced college learners and working professionals. My teaching philosophy centres on creating a supportive, motivating, and creative environment where students can build technical skills, musical understanding, and expressive abilities.
I have successfully guided students through recitals, competitions, and graded exams, helping them achieve milestones and gain confidence in their performances. Lessons focus on technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and expressive playing, while also encouraging creativity and exploration of different musical styles. I strive to make each lesson meaningful, productive, and inspiring.

I follow a teaching methodology based on compassion, communication, and encouragement. I aim to create lessons that are engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs. In piano, I combine exercises for technical skill with pieces that allow creativity and expression.
I maintain clear communication, giving feedback that is easy to understand and motivating. Supportiveness is key—I help students overcome challenges, celebrate milestones, and build self-confidence.
I use the same method in other subjects I teach, such as music theory and basic composition, making sure learning is accessible and enjoyable. My mission is to nurture both skill and passion in every student, creating a positive environment for growth.
