About Sophonie

As someone deeply passionate about education and global affairs, I bring experience, professionalism, and dedication to helping you excel in international relations. From high school classrooms to Capitol Hill, my journey as a tutor and advocate has been shaped by a commitment to empowering students to achieve their goals. My tutoring journey began in high school, where I supported student athletes on academic probation. This experience taught me how to adapt to individual learning styles and motivated me to create personalized strategies that led to measurable success. I’ve since refined these skills through years of academic and professional growth. As an Arabic minor, I’ve also experienced firsthand the transformative power of effective tutoring. My own Arabic tutors helped me build the confidence and skills I needed to succeed, inspiring me to become a tutor who not only explains concepts but also empowers students to thrive academically. In 2024, I worked as a Teacher Assistant at the May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders, where I honed my ability to support students with diverse learning needs. Whether working with students one-on-one or in group settings, I developed patience, adaptability, and a keen understanding of how to make complex ideas accessible to everyone. As a student pursuing an accelerated Master’s in International Relations, I’ve complemented my rigorous academic training with real-world experience. These experiences allow me to connect theoretical concepts to practical applications, giving my students a deeper and more engaging understanding of international relations. What sets me apart is not just my expertise but also my unwavering dedication to helping students succeed. From my early days tutoring student athletes to my time working with students with neurobehavioral disorders, I’ve developed the skills, patience, and passion needed to guide you toward your academic goals. Let’s work together to build your confidence, expand your knowledge, and make your academic journey a rewarding experience. I can’t wait to help you unlock your full potential!
