About Mariam
Hello! I am a passionate Music Education undergraduate student and a professional Qanun player. In my academic studies, I don't just learn music; I master the pedagogy of how to teach music effectively to different age groups.
My mission is to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western music traditions. Whether you are a complete beginner, a parent looking to build a solid musical foundation for your child (ages 8-12), or a teenager/adult wanting to decode the language of music, I am here to guide you step-by-step.

I believe that music theory should never be boring or purely dry drills. My lessons are fully interactive, dynamic, and tailored to each student’s goals.
What we will master together:
Universal Sight-Reading: Learn to read and write sheet music (Solfège) with absolute confidence.
Western Music Theory: Deeply understand chords, harmony, intervals, and time signatures.
Eastern Music Theory: Discover the beautiful world of Oriental Maqamat (scales, microtones/quarter-tones) and traditional rhythms.
My Teaching Tools:
For Kids (Ages 8-12): I use high-energy interactive flashcards, rhythm games, and storytelling to introduce the great history of world composers.
For Teens & Adults (12+): We focus on analytical thinking, active listening, and breaking down how your favorite songs/pieces are built.
Visual Demonstrations: I use my Qanun (the supreme eastern multi-string instrument) as a visual and auditory tool during lessons to make complex scale differences crystal clear on screen.
