About Teviot
A former university professor of Theatre and English in the United States, I have taught English in Japan, China, Laos and Thailand as well as online. Test preparation for overseas studies and pronunciation of American English are among my strengths and interests. Drawing on my background in theatre, lessons are interactive, challenging and usually fun!

Supporting students to learn at their own pace and learning style are integral elements of my classes. A typical class might include introduction of an idea or theme and vocabulary, an activity to explore and make use of the language, a project that the student creates and leads, and an activity to test for understanding and progress. My aim is to give students tools to build their own deep understanding of how English works.
