About Timothy
I'm Tim, a GMAT tutor and medical student at the University of Sydney. Prior to this, I was admitted to Wharton and had been a Management Consultant at McKinsey Shanghai after completing my undergrad at the University of Sydney, where I studied commerce and law. I've been a private tutor for 5 years, also teaching LSAT to prospective law school applicants, GAMSAT to prospective medical students, SAT to US college applicants and having previously taught ESL in rural Korea and China. At the end of my own GMAT journey, I earned a score of 790 with 51Q 48V 6AWA 8IR. Previously, I achieved 100th percentile results in the SAT and GAMSAT standardized exams by employing the same methods and mindset as for the GMAT.

I had Tim as my GMAT mentor in 2022. He taught me so much about the exam and made sure I knew what to expect. He knows a lot about the GMAT and it carried into his teaching abilities. Great guy!!!

Back in 2020, I utilized the services of Tim. Over the course of the entire year, I learned all the intricacies to the GMAT. The exam was much simpler yet also more complex than I had imagined. Tim worked with me in a very methodical manner and addressed my weaknesses one at a time. He was an astute teacher for both the math and english sections of the exam. When I started, my score was in the 630/800, the 62nd percentile, but to be a competitive applicant for my dream MBA program, I needed at least 740/800, the 97th percentile. Imagine my shock when I finished the exam and saw that I scored 770/800. My score exceeded my expectations wildly; when I told Tim, he just replied 'Clay, that's what we were expecting'. Overall, I recommend Tim's services, greatly, as a tutor to all students.
Tim helped me with section 2 of the gamsat and I got 77 in it. He is a very funny and very friendly teacher.
Tim worked with me for 4 months, during which he helped me increase my GAMSAT score from 59 to 75. His guidance proved simple yet effective and it seemed like he had the solution for any roadblock I encountered. His knowledge of section 1 and 2 was amazingly complete and structured and the way he delivered it made the whole exam seem very approachable. I can't thank him enough. Thanks Tim!!!
