About Matthew
Hello math enthusiasts!
My name is Matt, and I’m delighted that you have chosen to view my profile in your quest for a higher level of mathematical understanding. Please indulge me while I take a moment to describe a little bit about myself, my background in mathematical education, and my affinity for the subject overall.
I have taught and tutored both college and high school level mathematics for over a decade. I’ve mastered my craft in educating all kinds of students, whether it be the complacent student who just wants to pass, or the over-achieving student who seeks a deeper understanding of the subject. Regardless of the category that you or your child belongs to, I’ll be able to assess, diagnose, and remedy any mathematical complications that he or she might have.
I harbor a vast amount of mathematical knowledge that allows me to explain solutions to problems in the most effective manner possible, even if I’m unfamiliar with the technique or strategy presented in the lecture. Regardless, I’ll be happy to meet you or your child in the middle.
I am patient, approachable, understanding, and flexible. I favor a paced-style teaching technique that minimizes stress and encourages a strong interpersonal relationship between the student and myself. I believe that mathematical information is poorly received under stress, and it has always been my mission to assuage such uncomfortable feelings for whatever student I’m teaching.
I am qualified to teach a many different topics in mathematics, including but not limited to the following: Calculus (any level), Differential Equations (ordinary & partial), Linear Algebra, Statistics, Precalculus, Algebra (college & abstract), Geometry (analytic & synthetic), and Trigonometry.
By the end of our session, I promise that you will leave with a comprehensive collection of neat notes along with a greater understanding and appreciation of mathematics.
Please consider me as your tutor. You won’t regret the experience.

Matthew helped my son with AP Statistics. He was patient and effective and made sure my son understood what they worked on. We will definitely use him again to help prepare for future tests and to review for the AP exam.
Matthew is helping me get through extremely rigorous class, a calculus-based statistics course in college, and he has been very patient with me, who did not have any previous experience in statistics. He has been very patient, and I will be working with him for quite some time. 5/5
Matthew H. breaks down concepts in Linear Algebra very well and explains them in simpler terms! He’s also very patient and gives you the confidence to solve problems. I was honestly about to drop the class, but with his help, I decided to stay.
Excellent tutor. Knowledgeable, kind and always going above and beyond for his students.
