About Izzy
I am in the processes of completing my Undergraduate Degree in Sociology and Criminology at Queen's University Belfast. I am well-educated in an array of social science subjects such as history, politics, religious studies, social policy, and criminology - however Sociology protrudes as my key strength. I have studied sociology for 5 years, which includes A/S and A-Level, as well as BA Honours level.
I am qualified with A*-C grade GCSES. My strength is written work, evidenced in my A* Grade English Literature and Language GCSE and ABB A-Level grades in English, Sociology and Media Studies. Additionally, throughout the course of my degree I have consistently earned 1sts and 2:1 marks on submitted assignments.
I have also worked as a freelance proofreader and author for my Sixth Form Magazine, alongside proving similar freelance services online.

My approach to teaching is a relaxed and interactive style. I aim to be a friendly and approachable tutor and aim to create a strong learning foundation with students this way. I personally believe that in creating a more relaxed an environment of learning can be, the more effective the lesson will be.
As a student myself, I understand the pressures of learning great masses of content in short spaces of time. In my teaching approach, I aim to break down content into sizeable chunks and apply a variety of fun and engaging revision techniques to help solidify the knowledge of a particular topic.
I'm a fun and friendly individual with a passion for learning and a passion for helping other people to reach their maximum potential. My goal is just to help as many people as I can in a clear and concise manner, whilst making studying exciting and understandable.
