About Ashanti
As an aspiring teacher, I've always believed that I have a natural love for kids, and forming relationships with them, but also possess the fervour and desire necessary to nurture and steer children' lives. Particularly, I have always been active in caring for children from an early age since I come from a compassionate household. I have a tremendous desire to study, and I hope to one day provide another person a similar atmosphere. Tutoring may be emotionally taxing but is also incredibly rewarding and actively encourages character development. I developed patience as a strong quality during this time in childcare. I always had patience with children because I was aware of how difficult it can be to try to communicate with people in your own way and how it feels to not be understood right away. As a result, it came easily to me to always have patience with children. As a tutor I aim to exercise this quality, providing the children I teach with a positive learning space.

My aim as a tutor is to create in my students an understanding and confidence in learning new skills annd showing them how to utilise the knowledge they have gained. I believe the student should be encouraged to think and make new connections for themselves. My experience has been that one-to-one personal tuition is very helpful when helping to resolve the students’ personal barriers to learning,
My learning/teaching approach varies depending on the student’s needs and learning style. I like to start where the learner is - building up their confidence and I don’t lecture to students or ask them to memorise things.
