About Kiersten
Hi! I’m Kiersten , a tutor with a strong academic foundation and hands-on experience in both science and education. I graduated from the University of North Florida, where I study molecular and cell biology with a minor in chemistry.
I’ve worked in laboratory settings, gaining direct experience with techniques like Gram staining, endospore staining, aseptic procedures, microscopy, and bacterial culturing. I bring that real-world knowledge into my tutoring sessions to help you understand not just the what, but the why behind each technique.
In addition to my science background, I’ve worked as a teacher and substitute teacher across a range of grade levels, so I know how to adapt my teaching style to your needs. Whether you’re in high school, college, or preparing for a health sciences program, I’ll work with you to build clarity and confidence in microbiology.
