About Luke
I am a current freshman pre med student at the University of Washington, Seattle getting a double major in neuroscience and psychology with a minor in mathematics. I sing for one of UW’s audition ensembles and I am a content creator and officer for the neuroscience journal on campus. In terms of academic history I have gotten A’s in every single math class I’ve ever taken (besides a B+ in my first semester of honors algebra 2). These math classes include: algebra 1, geometry, honors algebra 2, pre calculus, calculus 1, and calculus 2. I also took AP Chem and got a 3 on the exam and an A- and B+ in the class. I just completed UW’s accelerated gen chem series (a year long course series compiled into two) earning a B+ and an A- in the course. Outside of academics I run, play volleyball and tennis, and just enjoy being outdoors.

Here to help you understand those little in between steps that teachers don’t always spend lots of time nailing down. I struggled at times with math/chemistry and I’m here to show you how you can achieve good grades. My emphasis is on practice! With subjects like math and chemistry you have to constantly be applying what you’re learning in class and through your homework. This is also how you do well on tests. If you choose to work with me I’ll not only teach you these concepts but also give you test taking and proficient study skills to ensure you do well in your STEM classes! It’s hard, but it does get better! A typical lesson with me will consist of going over concepts from the student’s class and then using the last half hour or so to give practice questions!
