About Philomene
I am an Oxford 1st Class Law graduate, fluent in French, English and Chinese. I am currently working as a trainee lawyer, and have just passed the SQE1.
I studied Jurisprudence at Oxford with options in Public International Law and Moral and Political Philosophy, and I completed the “Licence III Droit” (also in Public law) of Paris II Panthéon-Assas during my Erasmus year.
I have been tutoring languages since I was 16, and I am now 24. I began to tutor Law in my second year of university, usually as a crash course for my peers prior to exams.
Topics include: Business Law, Tort Law, European Union Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law, Trusts Law, Land and Property Law, Jurisprudence, Public International Law and Moral and Political Philosophy. I also help with legal or academic writing generally.

My teaching method aims to replicate the Oxford tutorial style, to give students practice in thinking out loud about questions they do not feel prepared to answer. This is useful practice for Oxford but also, more generally, fosters critical thinking as well as interview skills.
