About Rachana
I am an experienced Economics tutor with over five years of teaching experience, working with students from school to college level. Over the years, I have successfully taught and mentored around 300 to 350 students, helping them improve their understanding, grades, and confidence in Economics. My teaching philosophy is based on clarity, patience, and real-world application. I believe Economics is best learned when concepts are connected to daily life, current events, and practical examples.
I teach subjects such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, basic econometrics, development economics, and international trade. My sessions are structured but flexible, allowing me to adapt to each student’s learning style and academic goals. I focus strongly on building fundamentals before moving to advanced topics. Regular practice, clear explanations, and continuous feedback are key parts of my approach.

My teaching approach in Economics is student-centered, practical, and concept-driven. I teach economics by connecting theories to real-life situations so students clearly understand how economic ideas work in the real world. Key subjects include microeconomics, macroeconomics, development economics, international trade, public finance, econometrics, and basic financial economics. I use real-life examples, current events, and case studies to explain topics such as supply and demand, market structures, inflation, unemployment, economic growth, and government policies. Compassion is central to my teaching, and I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I adapt my teaching style based on each student’s learning pace and goals. Creativity is used to simplify complex models, graphs, and data analysis. Flexibility allows me to adjust lessons for exams, assignments, or concept revision. I encourage critical thinking and logical reasoning in every session. Accountability is maintained through regular practice, feedback, and progress tracking. My goal is to help students build strong fundamentals, apply economic thinking confidently, and achieve academic success.
