About Skyp
I am an experienced violin tutor with over 11 years of teaching experience, mainly working with college students. I focus on helping students improve technique, musical understanding, and confidence through organized and supportive lessons. My teaching style is creative, student-centered, and mentor-based. I help students build strong basics such as posture, bow movement, finger placement, rhythm accuracy, and tone quality.
I also guide students in musical expression and performance confidence. I use modern and innovative teaching tools including slow practice methods, recording analysis, guided listening, and structured lesson planning. These methods help students stay motivated and see steady progress. I also teach basic music theory and sight-reading in a clear and simple way. Accountability is an important part of my lessons.
I help students set weekly practice goals, follow consistent routines, and track improvement. I provide positive and clear feedback. Along with violin, I can also teach supporting subjects like rhythm training, ear training, and performance preparation. My lessons are friendly, focused, and suitable for college students. My teaching approach for violin is balanced, positive, and goal-oriented. I help students improve step by step while maintaining steady progress.
Creativity is used to make learning enjoyable. I include expressive exercises, musical storytelling, and creative practice methods to keep students engaged.
As a mentor and critical thinker, I focus on helping students understand both technique and musical expression. I guide students through tone control, finger accuracy, bow movement, and posture. Students learn to correct mistakes and improve independently.
Accountability is built through clear practice schedules and regular progress checks. I help students develop strong practice habits and self-discipline.
Along with violin instruction, I also teach related subjects such as music theory basics, rhythm training, ear training, sight-reading, and performance preparation. My goal is to develop confident and responsible violin players.
