About Lucile
I am a 3rd year PhD student in French literature at UCL, and a teaching assistant in the French department at UCL. I am a native French speaker and was educated in the French system until I moved to the UK 4 years ago.
Being a researcher in French literature in the UK, I am trained both in the complexities of the French language and in teaching foreign languages. I have substantial experience tutoring in French (GCSE level) and English as a second language with several Cambridge schools, including the Cambridgeshire Virtual School for Looked After Children. I am now teaching undergraduate French language modules at UCL.

I offer both tutoring (based on a school curriculum) and French language classes for children and adults wanting to start learning French or improve their level.
As a tutor, I can help students keep up with their school work (at GCSE, A level or undergraduate level) but also go beyond the curriculum to improve their conversational, reading, listening and writing skills. I provide extra exercises to help students get a better understanding of the course material and encourage them to go further.
I also offer private lessons for people who want to start learning French. I adapt my lessons to the needs of my students ; for example, I can provide speaking-based lessons to people who might just need the language for conversational purposes, or specialised lessons focusing on a specific field for people who need French for work purposes.
