About Arnav
My journey in Mathematics began with a fascination for patterns and logical structure, which led me to pursue an M.Sc in Pure Mathematics. Through 9 years of teaching, I have supported students across a wide range of abilities, from foundational elementary school math learners to those preparing for SAT math and Calculus-level challenges. I take pride in helping students move past fear and build steady confidence. My teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, patience, and adaptability. I carefully assess how each student thinks and tailor explanations accordingly. Whether guiding students through algebraic manipulation, geometry reasoning, or multi-step problem-solving, I focus on helping them understand why methods work. I encourage questions and value mistakes as learning opportunities rather than setbacks. Outside teaching, I continue exploring mathematical theory, problem-solving techniques, and educational methods. This ongoing engagement helps me keep lessons fresh and responsive. Teaching Mathematics is fulfilling because I see students develop independence, confidence, and trust in their reasoning abilities—skills that serve them far beyond the classroom.

Mathematics becomes clearer when students understand the reasoning behind methods rather than memorizing steps. My lessons focus on building strong conceptual foundations across elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, and advanced topics with calm and structured guidance. I help students see how numbers, patterns, and relationships connect logically, allowing them to approach problems with confidence instead of anxiety. Each lesson encourages active thinking, discussion, and gradual skill-building.
Lesson design is personalized to each learner’s level and goals. Younger students strengthen number sense, operations, and confidence in elementary school math concepts. Middle-level learners develop fluency in algebraic reasoning, geometry visualization, and structured problem-solving common in middle school math. Advanced students work through algebra, SAT math strategies, Calculus concepts, and exam-focused practice. I incorporate guided examples, independent attempts, and reflective correction to reinforce understanding.
Math lessons build more than academic skill—they strengthen discipline, focus, and logical reasoning. As students improve, they develop patience and resilience when facing complex problems. Many learners gain confidence that positively impacts other subjects as well.
