About Yuvan
My passion for Mathematics began early with an interest in patterns, logic, and problem-solving. This led me to pursue an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics, where I deepened both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Over 9 years of teaching, I have helped students from elementary school math to SAT math and introductory Calculus, fostering conceptual understanding, analytical reasoning, and academic confidence. My teaching approach emphasizes making abstract topics accessible, cultivating curiosity, and encouraging independent problem-solving. I focus on understanding each student’s learning style and tailoring lessons to suit their pace and cognitive approach. Using stepwise guidance, visualizations, real-world examples, and practice exercises, I make topics like geometry, algebra, and Calculus understandable and engaging. I encourage questioning, experimentation, and iterative learning to create a supportive and motivating environment for all learners. Outside the classroom, I remain actively engaged with mathematics through problem-solving, research, and curriculum development. This allows me to bring contemporary methods and real-world applications into my lessons. Teaching mathematics is deeply fulfilling because I witness students evolve from uncertainty to mastery, developing resilience, analytical skills, and independent reasoning that extend beyond academics.

Mathematics becomes engaging when learners grasp the logic and patterns behind concepts rather than memorizing formulas. My lessons cover elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, SAT math, and Calculus, focusing on problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and structured thinking. I guide students to recognize patterns, develop systematic approaches, and tackle challenges with confidence. Each session combines stepwise explanations, interactive exercises, and reflective discussion to build independent reasoning and mastery.
Lesson content is designed for all levels. Elementary learners strengthen number sense, arithmetic, and foundational reasoning. Middle-level learners develop algebraic skills, geometry visualization, and proportional thinking typical of middle school math. Advanced learners focus on algebra, SAT math strategies, and introductory Calculus, emphasizing accuracy, analytical reasoning, and methodical problem-solving. Practice problems, guided exercises, and personalized feedback reinforce understanding and boost confidence.
Mathematics lessons also cultivate focus, patience, and disciplined thinking. As learners gain confidence, they apply reasoning skills across subjects and real-life contexts.
