About Eliza
My fascination with Mathematics began with a love for patterns, logical structures, and problem-solving. I pursued an M.Sc in Applied Mathematics to strengthen both my conceptual knowledge and teaching skills. Over 12 years, I have guided students from elementary school math through middle school, SAT math preparation, and introductory Calculus, helping them gain confidence, clarity, and independent analytical thinking. I teach with patience, adaptability, and observation. I tailor explanations to each student’s learning style using visual models, stepwise reasoning, and practical examples. I encourage curiosity and foster a classroom environment where mistakes are valued as learning opportunities, building resilience, confidence, and problem-solving skills. Outside the classroom, I remain actively engaged in mathematics through problem-solving, curriculum development, and continuous learning. Teaching Math is rewarding because I witness learners develop logical reasoning, independence, and self-assurance. Supporting students in achieving mastery and realizing their potential is the most fulfilling aspect of my work.

Mathematics becomes approachable when learners are guided to understand the reasoning behind each concept. My lessons cover elementary school math, middle school math, geometry, algebra, SAT math, and Calculus, focusing on step-by-step problem-solving, conceptual clarity, and logical connections. I create a supportive and patient environment where learners feel comfortable exploring ideas, asking questions, and gradually building confidence in tackling mathematical problems across all levels. Lesson content is adapted to the student’s level. Elementary school math focuses on number sense, basic arithmetic, and interpreting word problems. Middle school math introduces geometry, proportional reasoning, and foundational algebra through visual examples and interactive exercises. Advanced learners work on algebraic techniques, SAT math strategies, and introductory Calculus, emphasizing accuracy, logical reasoning, and practical application. Carefully chosen exercises reinforce understanding and develop independent problem-solving skills. Math lessons also cultivate patience, analytical thinking, and resilience. As learners gain clarity, they approach challenges independently and confidently. Many students develop an appreciation for mathematics as a structured, logical, and rewarding discipline. My goal is to help learners feel confident, motivated, and capable in all areas of mathematics.
