About Buona
Hello! My name is [Your Name], and I am a third-year Speech and Language Pathology student with a passion for helping others learn and grow.
I have always enjoyed working with people and supporting them as they build confidence in their abilities. Teaching interests me because I find it rewarding to help students understand something that once felt difficult to them. Seeing a learner become more confident and capable is one of the most fulfilling experiences, and that is what motivates me to tutor.
My studies have taught me the importance of patience, clear communication, and adapting to each individual’s needs. I understand that everyone learns differently, and I enjoy finding ways to explain concepts so that they make sense to each student. I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
I am proficient in both English and Afrikaans, and I am able to teach in either language depending on what works best for the student. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to encourage them to believe in themselves and enjoy the learning process.

I believe that every student has the ability to succeed when they are taught in a way that works best for them. My approach to tutoring is to create a friendly, supportive, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and learning at their own pace.
As a Speech and Language Pathology student, I have developed strong communication skills, patience, and an understanding of how different learners process information. This helps me explain concepts in simple and clear ways, especially when a student is struggling. I aim to make lessons engaging, interactive, and tailored to each learner’s individual needs.
I am proficient in both English and Afrikaans, and I am able to teach in either language depending on what the student is most comfortable with. Being able to communicate in both languages helps me support learners more effectively and create a positive and relaxed learning experience.
In a typical lesson, we start by looking at the areas where the student needs the most support. From there, I guide them through explanations, examples, and practice activities in a way that is easy to understand. I encourage students to participate actively during lessons so that they not only improve academically but also become more confident in their abilities.
My lessons are suited for primary school and high school students who need help with homework, preparing for tests and exams, or improving their understanding of specific subjects. I adapt each lesson to the learner’s level and goals, making sure that they feel supported, motivated, and capable of achieving success.
