Academic English, IELTS & University Study Skills Tutor | Helping Students Succeed with Confidence

Pam was my favourite teacher when I was studying on the pre-sessional English course. Her lessons were easy to follow, yet so engaging that it was hard to lose focus. She always designed a wide variety of engaging and creative activities that made learning both enjoyable and effective.
She is a dedicated, responsible and supportive teacher who is always willing to answer questions patiently and thoroughly. Beyond the classroom, she is also a warm and thoughtful friend who genuinely cares about her students. I always felt comfortable approaching her for advice, whether about my studies or other challenges I was facing.
She has made a significant contribution to my academic development. She kindly helped me proofread my postgraduate dissertation, giving me valuable feedback on the clarity and accuracy of my writing.
I would wholeheartedly recommend her because she combines excellent teaching skills with patience, dedication, and genuine care for her students. If you are looking for a tutor who will help you make progress in your studies while encouraging and supporting you along the way, she would be an excellent choice. With her, you may find more than just a great tutor, you may also gain a nice friend.

I worked with Pam for a 10 year period at the University of Stirling. As a colleague Pam was very diligent and organised within academic English. For her students she provided a calm, effective, motivated, and empathetic approach to teaching. Pam and I worked on varying aspects of postgraduate teaching and module coordination (myself is psychology). I would recommend her academic skills as both a team member and teacher. She has great communication skills and importantly listens to students, providing clear planning and study skills support.
