About Deniz
I have always had a fondness for numbers. Having been an avid student of mathematics from a young age, I was encouraged to represent my school nationally as part of the UKMT Mathematics Challenge. On successfully obtaining a top 10% grade nationally, I was adamant that Maths was the subject for me. Statistical modules studied at university level have empowered me to understand the empirical language which enables the assessment of decisions and its impacts on the wider market.
Alongside a fondness for numbers, the study of Developmental Economics at Undergraduate level and Politics at A level has allowed me to gain a broader understanding of the far-reaching mechanisms that the financial world is comprised of. Studying contrasting economic and social ideologies such as that in the spectrum of left and right wings schools of thought, have broadened my understanding of the reasoning behind political decisions taken by governments.
In my free time, I love reading books and playing video games, especially the latter part! Helping others succeed and realising their potential is what drives me the most in tutoring, especially when students don’t have the right guidance to tap into their potential. Tutoring for me is not simply aiming for higher grades, but rather building up soft skills to transfer outside of the subject. My love for tutoring comes from the journey with my students, and not just the end result!

Hi! I’m Deniz and I’m an incoming Economics undergraduate at University of Southampton.
Typically, my lessons are for GCSE Students studying Economics and Maths and they are flexible in length. I like to approach learning as flexible as possible, I believe this is the only way to do so!
