  • 1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

I have been fascinated with languages ever since I can remember. Growing up in a diverse environment, I was raised to always help those around me and understand our differences. I realized this would be my calling when I started teaching as a student.
  • 2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

My specialty is Accent reduction and teaching students how to achieve an American accent that will last a lifetime. We also talk about mindset, leadership, and different aspects of personal development that all come into play when embarking on this journey.
  • 3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

The role models I always looked up to were persistent in their goals and driven to succeed, but at their pace and on their terms.
  • 4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

Patience, empathy, an analytical mind, leadership, and coaching skills are essential.
  • 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

Everyone found it weird that I could speak six languages and understand ten more. But it's just a system-that's the secret.
  • 6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?

It's not a problem but more of a logical development; words and phrases change and adapt with time, and speakers use them differently. This way, a language is ever-changing, and there's always something new to learn and discover.
  • 7) Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

My passion is helping individuals achieve their goals; I love being part of that journey. By teaching them in a way that is tailored to them and helping them improve, they later open up a new world of possibilities and can reach their goals faster.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof (besides answering this interview questions :-P)?

It's my 15 years of experience, the number of students I've worked with, and my passion for languages and sound. I also work on my different English accents and the accents of the languages I speak, so this is my passion.
